Google's November 2026 Android Security Bulletin fixes 216 vulnerabilities in total, 23 of them rated Critical. Patch level 2026-11-01 covers 119 flaws in the runtime, Framework, System and Google Play system update, while patch level 2026-11-05 adds 97 more covering the kernel and components from Arm, Imagination, MediaTek, Unisoc and Qualcomm.

The lead flaw needs no user interaction

The lead flaw, CVE-2026-58868, is a critical Framework remote code execution flaw — a heap buffer overflow in FrameDecoder.cpp — that can be exploited with no additional execution privileges and no user interaction. It affects Android 14, 15, 16, 16-QPR2 and 17. Other critical flaws include System-component remote code execution flaws CVE-2026-58876 and CVE-2026-58936, and a remote denial-of-service flaw via WAP Push and SMS handling, CVE-2026-58882.

No active exploitation flagged

Cybernews, GazeWire and Rescana's checks on 4 November reported no active exploitation flagged in the bulletin and none of the 216 CVEs in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue at that check. That does not mean the flaws are harmless — it means this bulletin is a patch-now warning, not a report of an attack already under way. Users should install the November update as soon as their device maker offers it.
