BMA opens new Head of Creative Content role in London

**
The British Medical Association has opened applications for a new Head of Creative Content, a senior role that will shape how the doctors' trade union and professional body presents itself across print, digital and multimedia channels. The vacancy is listed on the association's own careers site, dated 29 October 2026, and describes the post as newly created.
The association represents doctors and medical students across the UK and says it is looking for a leader to take charge of its content production and channel management at a time when it is shifting towards a digital-first model. The role is hybrid, with one day a week based at BMA House in London.
What the role involves
The successful candidate will set the creative direction for the whole organisation, covering written material, multimedia production, copywriting, design and digital and social content. The brief includes owning the content strategy, showing that spending delivers value, and making sure commissioned work is original, high quality and cost effective.
Leadership is a large part of the job. The head of creative content will manage, motivate and develop a high-performing team, lead complex projects that cut across different parts of the organisation, and build relationships with members, senior colleagues, suppliers and outside partners.
Benefits, and one limit applicants must know
The association lists 30 days of holiday plus bank holidays and a BMA company day, double-matching pension contributions up to 12% of salary, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and an onsite gym and subsidised café at BMA House.
One limit matters for international applicants: the association states plainly that it is unable to provide sponsorship under the UK points-based immigration system because it does not hold a sponsorship licence. Candidates should therefore check their own eligibility before applying, and apply through the BMA website rather than through any third-party listing.
