Celtic and Rangers both held in Premiership draws

Only two teams took all three points on a full William Hill Premiership card on Wednesday night. The results were Aberdeen 0-1 Falkirk, Celtic 2-2 Dundee United, Dundee 3-1 Kilmarnock, Heart of Midlothian 2-2 Rangers, St Johnstone 2-2 Motherwell and St Mirren 1-1 Hibernian. Celtic stayed four points clear of Rangers after 11 matches, and eight clear of Hearts; Dundee United sit fifth.
Late drama at Tynecastle
Camilo Duran put Celtic ahead at Celtic Park after 18 minutes, but Dundee United struck twice in three first-half minutes through Zac Sapsford and Neil Farrugia to lead at the break. Liam Scales headed a 65th-minute equaliser to rescue a point, but Celtic could not find a winner. Manager Martin O'Neill had named an unchanged side, but his team had to come from behind to salvage the draw.
Elsewhere on the night
Rangers also had to settle for a point at Hearts. Kevin Kelsy put Rangers ahead before Claudio Braga and Calvin Miller turned it around, and a late Olwethu Makhanya equaliser spared Rangers defeat. Dundee climbed to fourth by beating Kilmarnock 3-1, Joe Bevan and an Ashley Hay double deciding it after Joe Hugill's 75th-minute penalty equaliser. Kilmarnock dropped to the bottom of the table on goal difference.
Falkirk made it three wins in a row, substitute Ben Krauhaus scoring the only goal at Aberdeen to lift the Bairns to sixth. Motherwell ended six straight defeats with a 2-2 draw at St Johnstone, denied victory by a very late Josh Campbell goal after Taylor Steven, Ibrahim Said and Tawanda Maswanhise had scored.
At St Mirren, Marko Ivezic put Hibernian ahead in the 78th minute before a Jason Kerr own goal shared the points, leaving Hibs' new manager still winless.
