Evolution Continues €2bn Share Buyback Programme

Evolution AB will continue its €2 billion share buyback programme, the online casino supplier's board confirmed on 8 November, with €675.3 million of the authorisation still unused.
The company has so far repurchased 19,412,197 shares for €1.3247 billion, according to the announcement reported by TipRanks, leaving the remaining balance available for further purchases before the 2027 annual general meeting.
The continuation follows a shareholder vote on 22 September 2026 to cancel 16,168,492 shares bought under the programme. That cancellation restored room under the Swedish Companies Act, which caps a company's treasury holding at 10% of its shares. After the cancellation, Evolution had 183,058,121 shares in issue and held 3,243,705 of its own shares, leaving capacity to repurchase up to 15,062,107 more shares.
Evolution launched the buyback on 18 May 2026 under authorisation granted at its annual general meeting on 24 April 2026. The board said the programme is intended to optimise the company's capital structure by reducing share capital and creating added shareholder value. Purchases are made by an independent investment firm or bank, which decides the timing of trades, and are carried out under EU market-abuse rules.
The company, which supplies live casino and other online gaming products to operators, also entered a €300 million revolving credit facility alongside the original programme to maintain financial flexibility. The continuation is an extension of the existing capital plan rather than a new commitment on top of the purchases already made.
