Houthis claim Rabigh refinery and pipeline strikes as Riyadh airport restarts terminals

Yemen's Houthis said on Saturday, 24 October, that they had attacked eight Saudi targets, including the Rabigh refinery, the East-West oil pipeline and Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport. Military spokesperson Yahya Saree named Riyadh, Yanbu, Rabigh, Dammam, Najran and Khamis Mushait among the locations, and listed an Aramco facility in Yanbu, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, an airport in Najran and an air base at Khamis Mushait.
What Saudi authorities confirmed
Saudi authorities did not confirm damage to oil sites. The Saudi-led coalition said it destroyed two ballistic missiles fired towards Yanbu and Taif, and civil defence issued brief alerts for Taif, Yanbu, Mecca and Jeddah before saying the threat had passed. Fragments of intercepted missiles fell in Jeddah, Taif and Rabigh and in the Mecca region, according to Saudi civil defence. The Houthis denied a Saudi claim that missiles had been aimed at Mecca and Medina, saying they target oil facilities and military bases and announce their attacks publicly. Brent crude had settled on Friday at $116.72, its highest since April.
Riyadh airport resumes two terminals
King Khalid International Airport said it would resume flight operations from Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights operated by national carriers, effective Sunday, 25 October. Passengers with confirmed bookings were advised to contact their airlines to verify flight status before heading to the airport. The Houthis renewed their warning to airlines and travellers to avoid Riyadh's airport, which they called a military target.
