Jobe Bellingham Earns First England Call-Up

Jobe Bellingham has earned his first senior England call-up, joining his older brother Jude in Thomas Tuchel's squad for this month's Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain. The Football Association announced the 25-man squad on Friday 6 November, with Fulham midfielder Josh King also receiving his first senior call-up.
Bellingham, 21, has been rewarded for his form with Borussia Dortmund and with England's under-21 side, which he has captained. He moved to Dortmund from Sunderland in the summer of 2025, following the same path his brother took before joining Real Madrid. Tuchel described the brothers being named together as an incredible story for the family.
Palmer left out again
The headline omission is Cole Palmer. The Chelsea attacking midfielder has scored five goals and provided three assists in 11 appearances in all competitions this season, but he was left out of the squad. Palmer withdrew from England's September camp with a muscle injury, and Tuchel has repeatedly said the 24-year-old misses too many opportunities to impress at international level. Reuters reports that Tuchel insisted the decision was not personal and that players from the previous camp had kept their places.
Phil Foden was also left out, while Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson are among the midfielders selected. England host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday 12 November before travelling to Madrid to face Spain on Sunday 15 November, with a place in the Nations League quarter-finals still to be secured.
