London Luton Airport apprenticeships close on 10 November

London Luton Airport has opened a new round of apprenticeships for local residents, with applications closing on Tuesday 10 November 2026. The roles are open to people aged 18 and over who live in the LU1 to LU4 postcode areas, as part of the airport’s partnership commitments with Luton Borough Council.
Three roles are listed on the airport’s official careers site, all with the same 10 November deadline. The Mechanical Engineering Apprentice joins the Technical Services team and works towards a mechatronics maintenance technician level 3 qualification over 42 months, installing, testing, fault-finding and maintaining complex automated equipment. The Human Resources Apprentice undertakes a level 3 HR Support apprenticeship with BPP over 16 months. The Project Management Office Apprentice enrols on a level 3 Data Fundamentals apprenticeship with LDN Apprenticeships, lasting 14 months including the end-point assessment.
How to apply
Applicants apply by emailing a CV and covering letter to the address given on the vacancy page, using the role name as the reference in the subject line. The covering letter should answer the questions listed on the advert, including the applicant’s postcode, their right to work in the UK, and why they are interested in the role. The airport’s 3 November announcement also listed marketing and communications among the areas of opportunity, alongside HR, technical services and project management, with level 3 and level 4 routes.
The airport says it may close a vacancy early if it receives a high volume of suitable applications, so candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. All apprenticeships are subject to passing enhanced background checks in aviation. Entry requirements include English and maths at GCSE grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills level 2.
