Nightspire Claims 500GB Theft from UK Meller Group

The Nightspire ransomware group claims it has stolen 500GB of data from Meller Group, a manufacturing company based in the United Kingdom. The claim appeared on the group's leak site on 7 November 2026 and was recorded by the Ransomware.live tracker at 04:10 UTC, according to threat intelligence reports published the same day.

According to the listing, the allegedly stolen material includes financial records and employee accounting records. The trackers give an estimated attack date of 17 October 2026, around three weeks before the listing appeared. No information has been published about how the group supposedly gained access, what systems were affected, or whether any ransom has been demanded.

The claim has not been independently verified. Meller Group has not been reported as confirming a breach, and no stolen data has been independently examined. As with all leak-site listings, the claim on its own does not prove that an intrusion took place or that data was actually taken.

Nightspire is one of the most active ransomware groups of the past two years. It first emerged in March 2025 and has since listed more than 360 victims across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, finance and education, in countries including the United States, France, India, Taiwan and Japan. Researchers say the group typically follows a double-extortion model, stealing data before encrypting systems, and has set ransom deadlines as short as two days in some cases.

The Meller Group listing was one of several Nightspire claims posted on 7 November, alongside listings naming IMD Group and Gestimed. UK manufacturers should treat the claim as a prompt to review their own defences, while remembering that the underlying incident remains unconfirmed.
