Nvidia to invest $3bn in Meta equity offering

Nvidia plans to invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering as the two companies deepen their partnership around the Muse AI assistant, according to reports from Reuters and Dow Jones.
Meta raised the size of its offering to $97.5 billion, the largest in its history according to Reuters, after an initial tranche of about $35 billion was upsized.
Partnership built on AI infrastructure
Muse runs on Nvidia infrastructure, and the investment underlines how closely the two companies' AI plans are now tied together. The chipmaker's hardware powers much of the computing behind large AI models, while Meta is among the biggest spenders on AI data-centre capacity.
Work may extend to agent monitoring
The companies may also work together on OpenShell and Sentry, tools for monitoring AI agents, according to the reports. That would extend the partnership beyond chips and computing into the software used to oversee AI systems in action.
An equity offering lets a company raise fresh capital from investors, and the upsizing of Meta's deal points to strong appetite for the stock. For Nvidia, the investment deepens a relationship with a major buyer of AI computing; for Meta, it brings its chip supplier closer as an investor as both companies press ahead with their AI plans.
