Pakistan's U15 football team bagged its first two points at the FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival by playing out back-to-back draws against Jordan and Nigeria at the Hovsan Competition Complex in Baku on Monday, 26 October 2026. Kaleem Ullah scored in both matches for the Green Shirts.

Jordan draw brings the first point

Pakistan made a flamboyant start to the day fixture, taking an early 1-0 lead in just the 27th minute through Kaleem Ullah, who struck from the edge of the box and buried the ball into the top right corner. Although the Green Shirts fought valiantly afterwards, they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw, which gave them their first point in the ongoing tournament.

Nigeria draw follows the same pattern

The second match of the day against Nigeria followed the same pattern. Pakistan once again made a spirited start, securing a 1-0 lead through Kaleem Ullah in just the 22nd minute, fed the ball right beside the penalty spot and swiftly converting the precise assist. Similar to the Jordan match, Pakistan eventually had to settle for a 1-1 draw, which bolstered its points tally in the event to two.

A difficult start, and what comes next

The draws mark a turnaround after a dismal start to the campaign, in which Pakistan lost all three of its opening fixtures, including a 4-2 defeat by Gambia on 24 October. After playing two matches on the same day, the Green Shirts will rest on Tuesday before turning up on 28 October for the subsequent stage of the tournament. The back-to-back draws in Group AD give the young side something to build on after a testing first week in Baku.
