24th instalment released from Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th instalment of PM-KISAN on Friday 30 October from Banaskantha, Gujarat, the Agriculture Ministry said. More than Rs 18,690 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of over 9.34 crore farmers; the Prime Minister's Office rounds the figure to about Rs 19,000 crore.

PM-KISAN pays eligible farmer families Rs 6,000 a year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000, paid straight into bank accounts. The scheme is one of the government's largest direct-benefit transfers, and each instalment round is watched as a gauge of rural cash flow ahead of the sowing season.

Projects dedicated alongside the payout

The release formed part of a wider Gujarat programme, including the dedication of the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre at Bhildi in Banaskantha — described as the country's first facility dedicated to the Kankrej cattle breed, spread over 127 acres. The centre is intended to support breeding and research for a breed central to the region's dairy economy.

Farmers who do not receive the instalment are advised to check their bank and registration details through the scheme's official channels, as instalments are paid only to verified beneficiaries.
