Scotland Chase First-Ever Win Over All Blacks as Russell and Tuipulotu Return at Murrayfield

Scotland have waited 121 years for a win over New Zealand, and on Saturday at Murrayfield they get another chance to end one of the longest droughts in international sport.
The sides meet at 2.10pm in round four of the Nations Championship, with Scotland boosted by the return of captain Sione Tuipulotu and fly-half Finn Russell. Both sides arrive in form, and the gap between them has rarely looked smaller.
Thirty-three meetings, no Scotland win
The All Blacks and Scotland have met 33 times since their first Test in 1905 at Inverleith, Edinburgh. New Zealand have won 31 and drawn twice. The last meeting, twelve months ago, still shapes how both teams view this one: Scotland fell 17-0 behind, fought all the way back to 17-17, and then watched the game slip away in the closing minutes.
Scotland ended England's run of twelve straight wins during this year's Six Nations, but a 43-21 defeat by Ireland on the final weekend ended their hopes of a first title. They opened this Nations Championship campaign by beating Fiji 33-17.
Barrett returns for the All Blacks
New Zealand head coach Dave Rennie has made five changes to the side that beat Australia, with Jordie Barrett returning from injury at second five-eighth. Codie Taylor captains the side from hooker and will win his 115th Test cap, while Beauden Barrett starts at full-back and Will Jordan, the competition's leading try-scorer with six tries, starts on the wing.
Both sides sit second in their respective hemisphere standings in the Nations Championship. The All Blacks will wear white jerseys featuring a poppy in recognition of Armistice Day, along with black armbands in memory of head of security Logan Cadwallader, who died suddenly in Edinburgh last Sunday.
