Two veterinary inspector jobs open at £64,015 a year

Two Veterinary Pharmacovigilance Inspector jobs are open in the UK, offering a salary of £64,015 a year plus a pension scheme. The roles, advertised by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, sit at Grade 7 and come with annual leave starting at 25 days.
The inspectors will work on the UK veterinary medicinal product pharmacovigilance inspection programme. Their task is to check that marketing authorisation holders meet their legal duties for pharmacovigilance under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013, as amended, and EU Regulation 2019/6.
What the role involves
According to the official advertisement, the work is critical to safeguarding animal and public health, and the environment, through rigorous inspection, compliance oversight and engagement with stakeholders. The post holder will lead a discrete, high-impact operational area within a complex scientific and regulatory framework.
That means exercising expert judgement, leading inspection activity and working with multidisciplinary teams. Those teams include internal Veterinary Medicines Directorate colleagues, external stakeholders and other regulators, so communication and leadership skills matter as much as technical knowledge.
How to apply
Applications must be made through Civil Service Jobs, where the full job description is published. Candidates should read that description in full before applying, to confirm the essential criteria and the selection process for the Grade 7 posts.
The closing date is 9 November 2026. Anyone interested should apply before that date, as late applications are not normally accepted for Civil Service vacancies.
