West End ram-raid gang jailed over £1m spree

Five robberies at luxury shops
A gang that used vehicles to ram high-end designer shops in London's West End has been sentenced at Inner London Crown Court. The Metropolitan Police said the group carried out five robberies over three months, between November 2025 and January 2026, targeting stores including YSL in Bond Street, Bottega Veneta and Loro Piana in Sloane Street, and END in Broadwick Street.
Officers said stolen vehicles were driven into shopfronts before the raiders grabbed handbags, clothing and boots and fled, in some cases on mopeds and e-bikes.
The sentences
Max Tyson, 26, and Ryan Brough, 34, were each jailed for three years and four months after pleading guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary. Harry Johnson, 25, was jailed for one year and 10 months after pleading guilty to handling stolen goods.
Two further men received suspended sentences: Sonny Stringer, 29, received a 22-month sentence suspended for 24 months for handling stolen goods, and Olivier Ndayizeie, 36, received a 36-week suspended sentence for encouraging or assisting an offence. The combined custodial total for the three jailed men is eight years and six months.
How detectives caught them
Flying Squad detectives used CCTV, forensic evidence and automatic number plate recognition footage to identify the group, and traced stolen goods across the country, as far as Cornwall, according to police.
In one raid, at Loro Piana on 16 December 2025, more than 105 items were stolen, including a coat worth over £30,000, with the stock taken in that single incident valued at nearly £385,000. Police put the total value of stolen goods and damage across the spree at more than £1 million.
