Boots Recruits Around 6,000 Seasonal Workers for Christmas

Boots is recruiting around 6,000 seasonal workers for Christmas across its stores, warehouses and customer support centre.
The health and beauty retailer said the roles are available nationwide across its 1,800 stores, distribution network and customer support centre. Vacancies include customer advisers and operations assistants in stores, warehouse operatives and picker packers, and customer service roles supporting shoppers through the festive rush.
Seasonal customer advisers are paid £13.02 an hour, rising to £15.10 at selected London locations, and the roles are paid weekly. No previous experience is required for the main store roles, and Boots says younger workers and first-time jobseekers typically make up around half of its seasonal hires.
What the roles involve
Store staff help customers find gifts, work the tills, replenish shelves and support deliveries, while warehouse teams keep shelves stocked and fulfil online orders. Applicants must be available to work bank holidays including Black Friday week, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
The roles are temporary, with the potential for longer-term opportunities depending on local availability.
How to apply
Applications are open now through the Boots careers site, with separate routes for store, warehouse and customer support roles. Donna Hodgins, Boots' director of talent acquisition, said the festive season can be the perfect opportunity to gain workplace experience, build confidence and develop skills that support a career.
Boots said the seasonal team will also receive a colleague discount and other benefits, including reduced prices on cinema tickets and holidays.
