Bradford PCSO Guilty of Leaking Police Information to Machete Murder Plot

Five men have been found guilty of conspiracy to murder after a machete attack in Bradford, after a serving police community support officer passed them confidential police information.
The five were convicted at Bradford Crown Court on Friday 6 November of plotting to kill two men who were attacked on Tickhill Street in Bradford at around 10pm on 11 May 2025. Each was found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to murder.
West Yorkshire Police said the two victims, aged 30 and 31 at the time, were seriously hurt after being attacked by several men armed with machetes. Usamah Khan, then 30, fled and got into a friend's car, suffering serious injuries to his neck. Zayad Khan, then 31, ran in the opposite direction but was caught and attacked, and was found by officers with life-changing injuries.
PCSO passed on police information
Police found that PCSO Alice Dobson had accessed operational information and passed it on to the five defendants. Dobson was found guilty of perverting the course of justice. Rahees Khan was also found guilty of the same offence.
Dobson had already admitted one count of perverting the course of justice and one count of misconduct in public office in relation to separate matters, involving accessing police systems without a legitimate purpose and obtaining confidential information about individuals.
The five men — Mohammed Waqqas Khan of Folkestone Street, Bradford; Rahees Khan, formerly of Granton Street, Bradford; Hanzalah Saladin; Adam Takolia; and a fifth man who cannot be named for legal reasons — were remanded into custody and will be sentenced on 8 February 2027. Dobson was granted bail, with a sentencing date to be fixed.
Dobson remains suspended from duty and will face a gross misconduct hearing.
