The Customer Services Team is the first point of contact for residents, visitors and customers using council services, providing information, help and advice across a wide range of services. The successful candidate will be trained to develop a good knowledge of service areas including Council Tax, rents, benefits, housing and environmental services, and will work as part of a team to resolve as many enquiries as possible at first point of contact.
Previous customer service experience is desirable, but full training will be provided. Applicants need GCSE grade 4, or C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English, plus excellent keyboard and computer literacy skills. The apprenticeship leads to a recognised customer service practitioner qualification at level 2. Pay is the national minimum wage depending on age, and the role also offers access to the local government pension scheme and flexible working hours.

The closing date is 8 November 2026, and the provisional interview date is 16 November 2026. The listing does not state that the vacancy may close early.
