Crypto Fear and Greed Index Hits Extreme Fear at 25

Sentiment turns fearful
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 25 on 7 November, putting it in Extreme Fear territory, according to Alternative.me. The reading, which tracks market sentiment rather than forecasting prices, was down from 30 a week earlier, as a bruising week for digital assets left traders cautious.
The mood contrasts with the price action. Bitcoin traded at $75,869 at 14:13 UTC on Saturday, up 0.49% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. Ether was at $2,243.05, up 0.79%. Total crypto market value stood at $2.57 trillion, down 2.25% over 24 hours, with $64.01 billion in daily trading volume.
A week of outflows
The caution follows heavy selling by investors in US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds. The funds recorded a net $411.9 million outflow on Friday 6 November, according to Farside Investors data cited by NewsBTC. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for $403 million of the redemptions, while Fidelity's FBTC took in $42.8 million.
Ether funds were also under pressure, with a $99.9 million net outflow on 5 November, the latest complete daily total available. The flow figures show what investors did, not why they did it, and they do not by themselves prove that ETF trading caused the price moves.
Not every coin fell
Beneath the headline, the market was split. Zcash was the strongest large mover among the top 100 coins, up 3.51% to $1,310 on the day. XRP, by contrast, fell to $1.17, down 6.67% over seven days, and Solana slipped to $89.85, down 6.32% on the week.
For now, the market is caught between a steady Bitcoin price and a fearful crowd. Whether sentiment recovers may depend less on the index itself than on whether the ETF outflows slow in the week ahead.
