Devon Conway Ruled Out of India ODI Series

Devon Conway will miss the remainder of New Zealand's one-day international series against India because of a concussion sustained in a collision with teammate Matt Henry earlier this week, Reuters reported on Friday, 6 November.
The two players collided during fielding practice at Eden Park in Auckland on the eve of the first one-day international on 3 November. Both men missed the rain-disrupted first ODI in Auckland on Wednesday, which India won by five wickets to lead 1-0 in the five-match series.
Kelly called up from New Zealand A
Left-handed top-order batter Nick Kelly has been called up from the New Zealand A squad to replace Conway. Kelly had originally been selected only for the fourth and fifth ODIs, but will now join the squad in Wellington. He has been withdrawn from the New Zealand A side, with Dale Phillips replacing him there.
Conway will play no further part in the ODI series. His target is fitness for the first of two Tests against India, starting in Wellington on 19 November.
Second ODI in Wellington
Henry has been cleared of concussion and is available for the second ODI, which is in Wellington on Saturday, 7 November. One aggregator placed the match in Hamilton; the second ODI is in Wellington, according to Reuters and ESPNcricinfo.
The series continues with three further ODIs after Wellington. New Zealand will be without their opener for all of them, and Kelly's call-up gives the tourists a left-handed option at the top of the order.
