Harry Kane Signs New Bayern Deal Until 2029

England captain Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich that runs until 30 June 2029, the club announced on Thursday 5 November, a week after he won the Ballon d'Or.
The two-year extension ends months of speculation over the 33-year-old striker's future. His previous deal was due to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season, and the new agreement keeps him in Munich until he is 35.
A record-breaking spell in Munich
Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances since joining Bayern from Tottenham in the summer of 2023, and has won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups. Last season he scored 61 goals and provided seven assists in 51 appearances.
"I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich," Kane said. Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen said: "The Ballon d'Or winner is staying at Bayern Munich!"
The first Englishman since 2001
Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or last week, becoming the first Englishman to take the award since Michael Owen in 2001 and the first Bundesliga player in 30 years to win it. He told the club the decision to stay was made a long time ago, adding: "We signed the contract yesterday, but the decision was made a long time ago."
Reports suggest Kane had wanted a deal running until 2030, with an eye on that year's World Cup, but Bayern held to 2029. The Times reports the deal is worth significantly more than £440,000 a week, which would make it the biggest contract in the club's history, although Bayern did not disclose the financial terms.
