Double Murderer Allan Grimson Jailed for Another 22 Years Over Sex Offences

A former Royal Navy petty officer already serving a life sentence for murdering two young men has been given a further 22 years in prison for a series of non-recent sexual offences. Allan Grimson was sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, 6 November, after a jury found him guilty in July of offences committed between 1994 and 1999 against a teenage boy and young Royal Navy recruits.
The murders that put him in prison
Grimson is serving a life sentence for the murders of Royal Navy ratings Nicholas Wright and Sion Jenkins, whom he killed in 1997 and 1998 after meeting them in Portsmouth. He pleaded guilty to both murders at Winchester Crown Court in March 2001 and was jailed for life. The judge at the time told him he was "a serial killer in nature if not in number".
The new convictions
The latest trial heard that Grimson sexually assaulted three young Navy men and a teenager around the same period as the killings. He was found guilty on 27 July 2026 of 11 counts of indecent assault, one count of rape and one count of taking indecent photographs of a child.
How the case came back
Grimson had become eligible for parole in 2021 and was being prepared for release from Warren Hill prison in Suffolk when fresh sex-assault and rape charges were laid in February 2025. Specialist prosecutor James Foster led the case for the Crown Prosecution Service.
Parole
The 22-year term runs on top of his life sentence. He will not be eligible for parole until he has served at least 13 years of the new term.
