Twelve injured in shooting near Florida A&M stadium in Tallahassee

At least 12 people were injured in a shooting near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida, late on Saturday night, the local police department and the university said.
What police have confirmed
Police said 11 of the 12 injured sustained gunshot wounds, and the twelfth person was hurt while fleeing the scene. Six of the injured were adults and six were juveniles, with the youngest reported to be 11 years old. At least three victims sustained serious injuries, one was in critical condition, and the rest were initially reported stable. By Sunday morning, six victims remained in hospital and five had been released.
The shooting happened near Perry and Manatee Streets, shortly before 8pm on Saturday, after a homecoming football game in which Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Florida A&M 31–28. Police said a physical altercation preceded the gunfire in a crowded area, and investigators have not established whether the shooting was connected to the game.
Investigation under way
No arrests had been made as of early Sunday, and police had not identified a person of interest or a motive. Officers appealed for public photographs and video that could help identify those responsible. Florida A&M said the shooting happened near, not inside, the campus, that the campus remained safe, and that counselling would be offered to students.
Homecoming weekend draws students, alumni and families to Tallahassee, and the university's president described the violence as traumatising for students whether or not they were near the event. The investigation continues, and the casualty figures may be updated as police release further information.
