Zelenskyy says trilateral peace talks with Russia to restart, with US warnings fully restored

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says trilateral peace talks with Russia are set to restart and that US warnings about imminent Russian ballistic missile strikes have been fully restored, after a period in which both had faltered.
What changed
Speaking to Ukraine's TSN television channel, Zelenskyy said SpaceX's Starshield satellite internet had been working at speeds of up to 420 kilometres per hour since early on Saturday, after a meeting with US special envoy Steve Witkoff in Oslo. The service had been throttled earlier in October amid diplomatic pressure on Kyiv from Washington, and Zelenskyy cast both restorations as results of that meeting.
He also renewed his push for a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, arguing that Putin is the only person in Russia who can make major decisions on ending the war or on the fate of the nearly 20% of Ukraine that Russia occupies.
Ukraine's red lines
On the substance of the coming technical talks in November, Zelenskyy said Ukraine would not discuss limits to its armed forces or enforced post-war neutrality, and that territory is a red line that can be discussed exclusively at leader level. Kyiv has long sought NATO membership despite the reticence of some members.
The backdrop remains intense: Zelenskyy said Russia launched about 1,600 guided bombs, 48 missiles of various types and almost 2,300 strike drones at Ukraine in the past week alone, and he renewed his call on Western allies to speed up deliveries of interceptors.
