A masked gang has stolen more than £10,000 worth of alcohol from House of Bruar near Blair Atholl in a raid at about 2am on Tuesday 27 October 2026, Police Scotland has said.

The store, a Perthshire retail outlet selling country clothing and speciality Scottish goods including food and alcohol, was targeted in the early-hours raid. Police say two suspects are believed to have been involved, and officers have released descriptions of both.

What police say happened

The first suspect was described as wearing a black jacket, a black balaclava, blue denim jeans, white shoes and gloves. The second suspect was described as wearing a white jumper, black trousers, hiking-style boots, a black balaclava and gloves.

House of Bruar opened in Perthshire in 1995. Police were still in attendance at the store while enquiries were carried out, and the investigation is ongoing.

Dash-cam appeal

Detective Constable Mark Chance said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time and has any information to come forward and speak to officers.”

Police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area around 2.05am, when enquiries so far suggest the suspects left the scene. Drivers are asked to check any dash-cam footage from around that time to see whether it captured anything that could help the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0234 of 27 October 2026. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
