A 35-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman who has been missing since travelling from Limerick to Enniskillen almost a month ago.

Carrie Mullane (Noonan), 39, a mother of four from Moyross, Limerick, travelled to Enniskillen by bus on Saturday 10 October and has not been seen since. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) was told of her disappearance by Gardai on 29 October and launched an investigation, treating it as a suspected murder.

The man, who has not been named, was arrested on Tuesday. The PSNI has charged him with murder and with preventing the lawful burial of a corpse. He is due to appear by video link before Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Saturday 7 November.

Boat and campervan appeal

On Friday, detectives made a fresh appeal for information and released pictures of a boat and a campervan they believe could help the investigation.

A PSNI spokesperson said detectives investigating the disappearance and suspected murder of Ms Mullane had charged a man to court. As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Ms Mullane's whereabouts remain unknown. Police have asked anyone with information to contact the PSNI on 101 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

The charges are allegations. No one charged in the case has been convicted.
