Man charged over Woolwich shooting due in court

A 48-year-old man charged in connection with a shooting in Woolwich is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday 2 November 2026, the Metropolitan Police have said.
Paul Rosser-Davies, 48, of Brewhouse Road, Greenwich, was charged on Sunday 1 November with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The charges relate to an incident at about 20:09 on Thursday 22 October in Frances Street, Woolwich, where police found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound in a parked car.
Victim in critical condition
The victim was reported to be in a critical condition in an east London hospital after the incident. No further details about his condition have been published in the police statement, and the court appearance is the first hearing in the case.
The charges are allegations at this stage, and the case will now proceed through the courts. A first magistrates' court hearing normally deals with the charges, bail and the next steps, with more serious cases then sent to the Crown Court. Police have not said whether further arrests are expected, and anyone with information about the October incident is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police.
