Man Jailed for Life Over 300-Mile Zombie Knife Attack

A man who travelled more than 300 miles armed with a zombie knife to attack a woman in her own home has been jailed for life.
Jordan Honey, 29, of Felixstowe in Suffolk, was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court on Tuesday 3 November, with a minimum term of 15 years before he can be considered for parole.
Honey was convicted at trial of intentional strangulation, causing grievous bodily harm and three other offences.
The court heard that on 11 October 2025 he assaulted the woman at her home in Torquay, Devon, after travelling by train from Suffolk armed with the knife. Devon and Cornwall Police said he had travelled more than 300 miles to confront his victim.
Detective Constable Joseph Wynne-Davies, the officer in the case, said zombie knives were "incredibly dangerous" and had caused fatal injuries in many cases.
The force said the sentence reflected the planning behind the attack and the danger Honey posed.
Honey's journey across the country to reach his victim was a central part of the prosecution case, with the court hearing he had armed himself before boarding the train.
The life sentence means Honey will remain in prison until the Parole Board considers him safe for release, and he will be on licence for the rest of his life if he is ever freed.
Police praised the victim for her courage in supporting the prosecution.
