National Grid Opens Balochistan Jobs, Apply by 23 Nov

National Grid Pakistan has opened applications for 72 technical and supervisory posts reserved for candidates holding a Balochistan local or domicile certificate. The recruitment advertisement was published in the Daily Express on Sunday 8 November 2026, and applications must be submitted online through the National Job Portal (NJP) by 23 November 2026.
The posts are offered on a perpetual employment contract with a lump-sum pay package and performance-based progression. They cover equivalent grades 7 to 15 and will be filled at the company's grid stations and field formations in Balochistan. Like other federal openings advertised this month, the recruitment is restricted to Balochistan domicile holders, with seats also set aside under the open, employees' children, women, minorities and disability quotas.
The largest share of the vacancies is for field staff. There are 23 posts of Assistant Sub Station Attendant and 18 posts of Assistant Lineman, both in equivalent grade 7, along with 9 posts of Sub Station Attendant in grade 9. At the supervisory level, the advertisement lists 7 posts of Sub Station Operator-II, 4 posts of Laboratory Assistant and 3 posts of Line Superintendent-II in grade 14, and 2 posts of Sub Station Operator-I, 1 post of Tests Inspector and 1 post of Line Superintendent-I in grade 15.
The remaining posts are 2 Sub-Engineer (Civil) posts in grade 14, 1 Telecom Mechanic-II post in grade 12 and 1 Electrician-I post in grade 11. The Sub-Engineer (Civil) posts are open only under the employees' children quota and the women's quota. Candidates must be aged between 18 and 35 years on the closing date, and the advertisement states that general age relaxation has already been included in the maximum age limit, with no further relaxation allowed.
Qualifications depend on the post. The supervisory and operator posts generally require a three-year diploma in electrical or electronics technology from a government-recognised polytechnic institute, with some posts also asking for one to three years of relevant practical or supervisory experience. The attendant and lineman posts require matriculation, in some cases with a two-year diploma or certificate from a government polytechnic institute. The Telecom Mechanic-II post also accepts a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics, or ex-servicemen with ten years of experience as a carrier technician or wireless mechanic.
Applications are accepted online only through the National Job Portal at njp.gov.pk, and applications submitted by hand will not be entertained. A separate application form must be submitted for each post if a candidate applies for more than one. Shortlisted candidates will be called for walk-in interviews, preferably at National Grid's grid stations in Dera Murad Jamali, Quetta, Sibi, Loralai and Khuzdar, or at another suitable location. The interviews are being held under the Establishment Division's office memorandum F.No.2/5/2026-BEFC/001, dated 27 October 2026.
Candidates appearing for interview must bring their original educational degrees, diplomas and transcripts, their original computerised national identity card, their original Balochistan local or domicile certificate, and recent passport-size photographs. Those already in government service must also bring a departmental no-objection certificate, while minority and disability certificates are required where a candidate applies against a reserved quota. No travelling or daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview, and candidates dismissed or debarred from service on disciplinary grounds are not eligible. Applications are free through the portal, and no one should pay any person who offers to secure a post. Candidates should read the full advertisement on the National Job Portal and apply well before the 23 November deadline.
