Pakistan can seal a place in the final of the ODI tri-series when they face England at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Sunday 25 October 2026, while England must win to keep their tournament alive. Pakistan sit top of the table with two wins from two, and victory in Lahore would send them into the final on 31 October.

Pakistan's position

The hosts beat England by 87 runs in the opening match and then beat Sri Lanka by 37 runs, leaving them unbeaten as the series moved to Lahore. Arafat Minhas starred in Rawalpindi on 20 October with 59 runs and a match-winning six wickets for 40 runs. Pitch reports ahead of the Lahore match predicted a batting-friendly surface with consistent bounce, some early seam movement and possible dew later, factors that could influence the toss and team selection.

England's must-win task

England have lost both of their matches and are bottom of the table. Their defeat against Sri Lanka was particularly painful: they failed to defend a score of 429, even though captain Harry Brook hit 202 runs in that match. Another loss in Lahore would leave Brook's side on the brink of elimination, needing two straight wins from their remaining games to stay in contention.

How to follow the match

Play was due to start at 1 p.m. local time in Lahore, 8 a.m. GMT, with the toss shortly before. In the United Kingdom the match is shown on Sky Sports, in Pakistan on PTV Sports, with streaming on Tapmad, Tamasha and PCB Live. Viewers elsewhere should check local listings, as broadcast details vary by territory. Sources: Particle News; Khel Now; Sky Sports.
