Farhan Yousuf to lead Pakistan's U19 Asia Cup title defence

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup 2026 in Oman, with Farhan Yousuf named captain, on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Pakistan will defend the title they won by beating India by 191 runs in the previous final at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
Group and fixtures
The tournament runs from 5 to 14 November 2026. Pakistan are in Group A alongside India, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates; Group B comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Pakistan face the UAE on 6 November, India on 8 November and Nepal on 10 November, with semi-finals on 12 November and the final on 14 November. Only Ali Raza and Huzaifa Ahsan in this squad were not part of the side that beat England 3–1 in a Youth ODI series in September 2026.
A title to defend
The squad announcement continues a busy period for Pakistan's age-group and women's sides, with the women's Emerging Nations Trophy squad named separately this week. The U19 Asia Cup remains one of the region's main development tournaments, and a title defence against India in the group stage on 8 November will be an early test of the new squad. This article covers the men's U19 squad only and does not conflate it with the women's Emerging Trophy team.
