Rashid Khan first to 200 men's T20I wickets

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has become the first bowler to claim 200 wickets in men's Twenty20 internationals, reaching the landmark during Afghanistan's second T20 against Zimbabwe in Sharjah on Thursday.
The former captain brought up the milestone in his 120th T20 international when he trapped Zimbabwe's Tadiwanashe Marumani lbw for two in the ninth over of the chase. No other man has reached 200 wickets in the format.
A record with room to spare
Rashid, 28, has taken his wickets at an average of 13.96 with an economy rate of 6.13, according to Reuters, with two five-wicket hauls and best figures of 5 for 3. He sits clear at the top of the men's T20I wicket-takers' list, with England's Adil Rashid next.
The milestone adds to an already remarkable record in white-ball cricket. Rashid had previously become the first Afghanistan bowler to reach 200 one-day international wickets, during a match against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi in October last year.
Comeback win in Sharjah
The landmark came in a dramatic match. Afghanistan, put in to bat, slumped early before Azmatullah Omarzai smashed 116 and Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai hit 52 in a 142-run stand that lifted the hosts to 221 for 7.
Zimbabwe fought back through captain Sikandar Raza, who finished unbeaten on 106, but the visitors closed on 202 for 5, giving Afghanistan a 19-run win and an unassailable lead in the three-match series. Sources: Reuters and ICC. No further match result beyond this verified win is claimed.
