Serious Fraud Office Jobs: Governance Officer Closes 12 Nov

The Serious Fraud Office is hiring a part-time Governance Officer to support its most senior decision-making forums, with applications closing at midday on Thursday 12 November 2026. The role is based in London at Higher Executive Officer grade, with a salary of £36,801 to £40,451 as listed on Civil Service Jobs.
The SFO leads the UK’s fight against serious and complex fraud, bribery and corruption. Its Governance Team supports the Executive Team and the top tier of organisational committees, and the new officer will provide secretariat support to those bodies, including leading on Case Evaluation Boards.
What the role involves
According to the Civil Service Jobs listing, the Governance Officer will arrange meetings, prepare agendas and commission briefs, draft accurate minutes, track actions to completion, and act as a point of contact for the SFO’s Non-Executive Directors. The role carries privileged access to the highest levels of decision-making in the agency and calls for strong organisational and written skills, discretion and flexibility.
The successful candidate will also support the Head of Governance in delivering recommendations from an internal audit of SFO governance and in managing internal communications about the team’s work.
More SFO roles open
The Governance Officer post is one of several live SFO vacancies. The agency is also recruiting investigative and intelligence analysts, with applications for those roles closing at 23:55 on Sunday 8 November. Applications for all SFO roles are made through Civil Service Jobs, and the SFO’s own LinkedIn page carries the application links. The Governance Officer deadline of midday on 12 November leaves only days to apply.
