ServiceNow confirms fresh layoffs affecting UK staff as it restructures around AI

New round of cuts confirmed
ServiceNow has confirmed a fresh round of global layoffs affecting staff in the UK, the United States and India, as the enterprise software company restructures around artificial intelligence.
The company confirmed the move in a statement on 5 November 2026, reported on 6 November. It did not say how many jobs are being cut or which teams are affected, and no UK headcount figure has been released.
What the company said
"We are making necessary changes to how we are structured," ServiceNow said. "We are driving efficiencies across the business, actively investing in and hiring for AI-focused skills, and managing headcount with discipline to end 2026 where we started, as we shared earlier this year."
The company began 2026 with around 29,000 full-time employees and now sits at approximately 30,000, after hiring and acquisitions during the year. Holding headcount flat for the year implies reductions roughly offsetting that growth, though ServiceNow has not confirmed a global figure.
A year of restructuring
The latest wave follows two earlier rounds in 2026, including restructuring in June and a second round in late July that affected hundreds of employees globally. Financial filings underline the scale of the programme: ServiceNow recorded $87 million in employee severance and related costs in the third quarter of 2026 and $167 million in the first nine months of the year, against $24 million and $53 million a year earlier.
Its latest quarterly filing describes a plan "to optimise our workforce through AI-driven efficiencies and investment in talent in key strategic areas", expected to be "substantially completed in 2026". The cuts come as ServiceNow shares have fallen more than 30% this year, including a 35% drop between 23 October and 5 November.
