The University of Birmingham will hold its Law Careers Fair on Wednesday 11 November 2026, giving students a chance to meet law firms and barristers' chambers and to ask about vacation schemes and training contracts. The fair runs from 12:30pm to 3pm in the Great Hall, Aston Webb, and is aimed mainly at law students, although undergraduates, postgraduates, international students and recent graduates from all degree disciplines are welcome.

The fair is open to law firms and barristers' chambers of all sizes, and the university says it is an excellent way for firms to raise their profile on campus and promote vacation schemes and training contracts. The student events listing says visitors will find firms ranging from large global practices to small local ones, with employment opportunities including vacation schemes and training contracts for 2028/29.

Demand for legal careers among Birmingham students is strong. The university's Career Registration data for 2025/26 shows that 37 per cent of students in the College of Arts and Law are interested in pursuing a legal career. A bookable low-traffic slot at 12pm, before the main fair opens, is available for students who find busy environments challenging and would benefit from a quieter setting to talk to employers.

The Law Careers Fair is the last of the university's autumn recruitment fairs, following the Autumn, STEM, Business & Finance, and Public Sector & Teaching fairs held in October. The next fair in the programme, the Spring Careers Fair, is scheduled for Wednesday 10 February 2027. Students can book through the university's recruitment fairs page, and the Careers Network events listing carries the same date, time and venue.
