Bournemouth NHS seeks vaccination healthcare support worker

What the role involves
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a healthcare support worker for its newly integrated Community Vaccination Service, based at Kings Park Hospital in Bournemouth. The post is permanent, part-time and term-time only, at Band 3, paying £25,760 to £27,476 a year pro rata. The closing date is 2 November 2026, so it was still open at the time of this check on 30 October. The official advert reference is 152-C201.26A.
The successful applicant will deliver school-age vaccinations alongside Covid vaccination for housebound patients and care-home residents, collect vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases, and support health promotion and community engagement. Delegated administration tasks, such as running reports, liaising with schools and service users, and collecting data, are also part of the job.
Applicants need experience equivalent to a vocational level 3 qualification, good IT and communication skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative within a team. The post requires travel on trust business using the applicant's own vehicle, and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, the cost of which the trust covers.
Before you apply
The advert states plainly that visa sponsorship is not available for this role, so applicants must already hold valid UK right to work and must not require sponsorship if successful.
The trust also asks for a supporting statement in the applicant's own words that shows how their experience meets the person specification, and warns that a statement generated entirely by AI tools may lead to withdrawal. Applications go through the official NHS Jobs advert linked below — not through any third-party jobs board.
