ePlus has beaten quarterly earnings expectations and raised its full-year outlook, after reporting higher sales and a record quarter for gross billings.

The technology solutions provider reported its results on Thursday 5 November for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended 30 September 2026. It reported earnings of $1.82 per share for the quarter, topping analysts' consensus estimate of $1.47 by $0.35.

Net sales rose 9.7% to $667.9 million, from $608.8 million a year earlier, driven by higher product sales partly offset by lower services revenue. Gross profit increased 11.2% to $180.3 million, and adjusted EBITDA grew 14.3% to $67.1 million. Operating income grew 15.8%.

Gross billings reached a record $1.07 billion, up 4.3% from $1.02 billion in the same quarter last year. Net earnings from continuing operations increased 5.8% to $40.4 million.

ePlus raised its fiscal 2027 outlook, now expecting upper-single-digit growth in net sales and gross profit and low-double-digit growth in adjusted EBITDA. Its previous forecast, given in August, targeted mid-single-digit growth for all three measures. Management cited strong first-half results, customer demand and a substantial backlog, while noting some open orders may extend into fiscal 2028.

President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Marron said the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence, demand for advanced data centre infrastructure and growing emphasis on cybersecurity continued to reshape the technology landscape.

The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.27 per share, payable on 16 December 2026 to shareholders of record on 24 November 2026.
