First Women Bank hiring universal tellers across Pakistan

A First Women Bank Limited branch in Pakistan

First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) is hiring universal tellers for its branches across Pakistan, as part of a wider recruitment round that also covers branch managers, human resources roles and a long list of information technology posts. The bank's own careers page lists universal tellers among its current openings and gives 17 November 2026 as the last date to apply.

The universal teller post, also described as junior teller, is a permanent role based in branches across the country. It is the front-line cash-handling job in a branch: serving customers at the counter, taking deposits, handling withdrawals and carrying out the day-to-day cash work that keeps a branch running. For graduates looking for a first step into banking, it is one of the most direct routes in, because the role is built around branch experience rather than a specialist degree.

According to the hiring details published with the recruitment round, applicants for the universal teller post need at least a graduation degree — a BA, BSc, associate degree, BCom or BS — from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission. A business-related qualification is preferred. Candidates also need at least one year of relevant experience handling cash in a bank. The bank says women and differently-abled people are encouraged to apply.

The teller posts are not the only openings. The careers page also lists human resources managers and human resources officers, a head of branch banking, branch managers, a head of centralised operations, branch operation managers, relationship managers for credit and an ADC support officer. Behind the branch network, the bank is also hiring across its technology teams, with posts including database administrator, system administrator, network engineer, software development manager and officer, and managers and officers for core banking, IT governance and debit cards and ATMs. The full list, with the detailed requirements for each post, is published on the bank's careers page, and applicants should read the description for their own post before applying, because the requirements differ from role to role.

First Women Bank was set up in 1989 as the world's first bank founded to meet the financial needs of women, and it now runs 43 branches in 21 cities across Pakistan, with its head office in Karachi. In April 2026 the bank completed a privatisation process under which the Government of Pakistan transferred its shareholding and management control to EVE Holding RSC Limited, an affiliate of the UAE's International Holding Company. The current hiring round is the bank's first large recruitment drive since that change of ownership.

Applications go in online through the bank's careers portal at fwbl.com.pk/careers, where each post links to its own application form. The bank's careers page states the last date to apply as 17 November 2026. Some reports of the original newspaper advertisement gave an earlier date of 12 November, so candidates should go by the date on the bank's own careers page and submit before it closes. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and the bank reserves the right to accept or decline any application. As with any job application, candidates should apply only through the bank's own portal and should not pay anyone who offers to arrange the job.
