GE Aerospace Apprenticeships Open 16 November in Wales

GE Aerospace will open applications for apprenticeships at its Wales site on 16 November, with further UK programmes closing within days, the engineering group has confirmed on its official careers pages. Three programmes at GE Aerospace Wales, near Cardiff, open on 16 November: business and management, engineering, and supply chain apprenticeships, at levels 3 and 4.
The Wales site specialises in testing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling commercial jet engines, including the GE90-115B, GE9X and CFM56, and describes itself as one of the largest engine maintenance facilities in the world, serving more than 90 customers.
At Cheltenham, where GE Aerospace designs and makes aircraft power distribution and avionics systems, six apprenticeship programmes close on 15 November, including advanced manufacturing, test technician, supply chain business degree, manufacturing engineering, engineering maintenance technician, and environment, health and safety roles. The Cheltenham programmes opened on 19 October.
At Prestwick in Scotland, an engineering modern apprenticeship opened on 2 November and closes on 30 November. The three-year programme, run in partnership with Ayrshire College, leads to an SVQ level 3 in aeronautical engineering.
Applications may close earlier if volumes are high, GE Aerospace warns, and it encourages candidates to apply as soon as possible. Programmes at the company's Gloucester (Dowty) site have already closed, with closing dates of 23 October and 1 November.
