Globus Medical Cuts Revenue Outlook as Shares Slide

Globus Medical has lowered its full-year revenue forecast after third-quarter sales fell, citing continued declines at its Nevro business, delayed spine product launches and lower contributions from competitive sales recruiting.
The medical technology company now expects full-year 2026 revenue of $3.09 billion, down from its prior forecast of $3.18 billion to $3.22 billion. It maintained its outlook for adjusted diluted earnings per share of $4.95 to $5.05.
Third-quarter revenue was $763.7 million, down 0.7% from a year earlier, or 0.5% in constant currency. The figure was below Wall Street's estimate of about $792 million. Revenue excluding Nevro rose 3% to $690 million, while Nevro sales fell 25.7% to $73.7 million.
President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Pfeil said the company could have executed better during the quarter, pointing to the timing of product introductions and competitive recruiting rather than broader market conditions. US Spine revenue grew 1.8% from the prior-year quarter.
Globus reported GAAP net income of $141.2 million, or $1.04 per diluted share. Adjusted net income was $167 million, or $1.23 per diluted share, up 4.4% from a year earlier. Adjusted gross margin rose to 69.5% from 68.1%, marking an eighth consecutive quarter of sequential improvement.
Shares fell 11.6% in afternoon trading on Thursday after the results, as investors weighed the revenue miss and the guidance cut against the earnings beat. The revised annual forecast implies a mid-single-digit revenue decline in the fourth quarter, with management linking the expected contraction to delayed spine launches, a slower Nevro recovery and a difficult comparison in enabling technologies.
