The entrance to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank, Scotland

NHS Golden Jubilee is recruiting a lead advanced clinical nurse specialist to establish and lead a new inpatient diabetes service at its Clydebank hospital, with applications closing on 18 November 2026. The post is advertised on the official NHS Scotland Jobs portal under reference 260563, with interviews scheduled for 2 December 2026.

The post holder will provide expert clinical and professional nursing leadership for diabetes care across the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, putting in place the systems, policies, standards, education and governance arrangements needed to support safe and effective person-centred care. The role combines advanced autonomous clinical practice with organisation-wide leadership, service development, quality improvement and staff education.

The hospital says the successful candidate will work across specialist clinical pathways with ward teams, senior charge nurses, clinical nurse managers, heads of nursing and practice education colleagues, and will have the chance to shape a new service from the start and make a visible contribution to patient safety and service improvement.

The Clydebank campus sits on the banks of the River Clyde and offers free accessible staff parking. NHS Golden Jubilee says it will consider flexible working options for the role and encourages applications from all sections of the community. The advert warns the vacancy may close early if a high volume of applications is received, so applicants are advised to apply early. Applications are made through the NHS Golden Jubilee current jobs page linked above.
