Jon Rahm wins Abu Dhabi title in record Rolex Series win

Jon Rahm held off Tyrrell Hatton and Rory McIlroy to win the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links, closing with a five-under-par 67 for a two-shot victory.
Rahm finished on 23 under par after rounds of 65, 67, 66 and 67. Hatton carded a closing 68 to finish second on 21 under, while McIlroy took third on 19 under after a final-round 69.
The win is a record sixth Rolex Series title for Rahm and his 11th DP World Tour title overall. It is also his first DP World Tour victory in four years and his first win since leaving LIV Golf, coming in his first competitive tournament in seven weeks.
Rahm started the final round with a one-shot lead but did not hold it throughout the day, with Hatton, McIlroy and Francesco Laporta each leading at different stages. Three back-nine birdies proved decisive, and Rahm closed with three straight pars to seal the win.
McIlroy, who was docked two strokes during Thursday's opening round for improving his lie, started his back nine with two birdies but saw his challenge fade with a bogey at the 15th. Eugenio Chacarra remains top of the Race to Dubai standings, with the season concluding at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai from 12 to 15 November.
