Juventus win 4-1 at Austria Wien in UWCL

Juventus moved to six points in the UEFA Women's Champions League league phase with a 4-1 victory away to Austria Wien in Vienna on Thursday 29 October 2026. Four different players scored for the Italian side in a Matchday 3 win that was sealed only after the hosts had briefly threatened a comeback.
Matilde Pavan gave Juventus the lead in the 39th minute, driving forward and finishing into the bottom corner after being played in by Eva Schatzer. The visitors doubled their advantage in the second half when Alba Redondo converted a powerful penalty in the 63rd minute, continuing her scoring run in all three of Juventus's league-phase matches so far.
Cordes hope quickly answered
Austria Wien gave themselves hope in the 78th minute when Lotta Cordes headed home from a corner to make it 2-1. Any thought of a late equaliser lasted only a few minutes. Kysha Sylla restored the two-goal cushion in the 81st minute, again after good work from Schatzer, before Júlia Bartel completed the scoring in stoppage time.
Schatzer was named player of the match, having been involved in both the opening goal and the strike that ended Austria Wien's revival. The contest also carried a family subplot, with Schatzer facing her cousin Elisa Pfattner in the Austria Wien side.
Juventus in the chasing pack
The win leaves Juventus a point behind OL Lyonnes, Arsenal and Chelsea at the halfway stage, and two points behind leaders Barcelona. Austria Wien, by contrast, remain on one point and will need a stronger second half of the league phase to climb into contention.
Juventus next face OL Lyonnes at home on 11 November, while Austria Wien travel to Benfica on the same night. Both fixtures will go a long way to deciding whether either side can still reach the knockout rounds.
