The Directorate General of the Local Government and Rural Development Department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has opened 11 regular posts, all reserved under the minority quota, and applications are being taken online through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA). The recruitment is listed on ETEA's official project portal as project 889, with the last date for online applications set at 20 November 2026.

The largest share of the openings is for Sub Engineer (BPS-12), with eight posts. Applicants need a second-division Secondary School Certificate and a three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering in Civil Engineering from a recognised institute, and the age limit is 21 to 28 years. One post of Assistant (BPS-16) is open to candidates with at least a second-class bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognised university, with an age limit of 21 to 30 years. Two posts of AutoCAD Operator (BPS-12) require at least a second-class bachelor's degree and a one-year diploma in Civil AutoCAD, with an age limit of 18 to 30 years.

Candidates must first create a profile on ETEA's website and have their CNIC verified through a NADRA E-Sahulat franchise before applying or depositing the fee. Selection is by an ETEA screening test, with educational criteria carrying 70 marks, the test 20 marks and the interview 10 marks in the final aggregate. Age relaxation applies under the government's existing rules, and no travel or daily allowance is paid for the test or interview.

The online application form has been available on etea.edu.pk since 1 November 2026. Each post needs a separate application and fee, and the official advertisement is INF(P) 5378/26. Applicants should read the full advertisement on ETEA's portal before applying, as it is the final word on eligibility, quotas and deadlines.
