Pakistan Under-19 pulled off a remarkable recovery to beat India Under-19 by three wickets in the ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman on Sunday, with wicketkeeper-batter Hamza Zahoor carrying his side home with an unbeaten century.

Chasing 209, Pakistan were in deep trouble at 61 for 5 in the 15th over before Zahoor, batting at number seven, steadied the innings. He finished on 100 not out from 108 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes, and shared a 107-run stand for the sixth wicket with Hasnain Abbas Dar, who made 38. Pakistan reached 209 for 7 in 48.1 overs, winning with 11 balls to spare.

India had earlier been bowled out for 208 in 46.3 overs despite a brilliant 107 from Arjun Rajput, struck from 85 balls with 11 fours and five sixes. Pakistan's bowlers shared the wickets around, with Rizwanullah taking 3 for 24, Ali Raza 3 for 37 and Niqab Shafiq 3 for 42, while Manal Chauhan claimed 3 for 32 for India.

The result puts Pakistan, the defending champions, on top of Group A with four points from two matches. It was their second successive win of the tournament, following a nine-wicket victory over the UAE in which Usman Khan scored an unbeaten 139. Pakistan also beat India by 191 runs in the final of last year's tournament in Dubai.

India, who opened with a 10-wicket win over Nepal, are second in the group on two points and next face the UAE on Tuesday. The semi-finals are scheduled for 12 November, with the final on 14 November. Cricket World reported Zahoor was named player of the match for his match-winning innings.
