PMO Balochistan quota: 2 jobs, apply by 18 November

By The Daily Byte ·08 Nov 2026 ·2 min read
The Prime Minister's Office in Islamabad

The Prime Minister's Office (Public) has invited applications from Pakistani nationals holding a Balochistan local or domicile certificate for two regular posts, under the federal government's Balochistan quota recruitment drive. Applications must be submitted online through the National Job Portal, and the portal shows 18 November 2026 as the closing date.

Two posts on offer

The advertisement, dated 3 November 2026, lists one Stenotypist post in BS-14 and one Upper Division Clerk (UDC) post in BS-13. The Stenotypist post requires Intermediate education, shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and typing speed of 40 words per minute, and computer literacy. The UDC post requires Intermediate education, and the selected candidate must complete a three-week Basic IT Training Course, including MS Office, conducted by the National Institute of Technology Board (NITB) within one year.

Age limits and relaxation

Both posts carry an age limit of 18 to 25 years, with five years of general age relaxation and a further five years of specific additional relaxation for candidates from Balochistan. That extra relaxation follows Establishment Division office memorandum No. 2/5/2026-BEFC001, dated 22 October 2026, which allows Balochistan candidates five years of additional upper age relaxation on the closing date of the advertisement instead of the existing three years, as a one-time dispensation.

How to apply

Only candidates holding a Balochistan local or domicile certificate are eligible. Applications must be submitted online through the National Job Portal at njp.gov.pk, using the dedicated tab created for this recruitment exercise, within 15 days of the publication of the advertisement. Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel. Applicants should confirm the closing date on the live National Job Portal listing before submitting, as the advertisement states the deadline as 15 days from publication.
