The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New Orleans Saints 16-10 on Sunday in the first regular-season NFL game ever played in France, in front of 78,488 fans at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, just north of Paris. Aaron Rodgers threw a touchdown pass and moved past Peyton Manning into third place on the NFL's all-time touchdown pass list.

Rodgers passes Manning

Rodgers finished 19 of 30 for 212 yards. His 4-yard touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington in the second quarter was his 540th career touchdown pass, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Peyton Manning for third all time. A 51-yard completion to DK Metcalf had set up the score. Jaylen Warren rushed for 101 yards and totalled 137 yards from scrimmage, while Chris Boswell kicked three field goals, from 28, 47 and 39 yards, the last giving Pittsburgh a 16-10 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Saints shut out in second half

The Saints, the designated home team, tied the game at 10-10 on Tyler Shough's 1-yard touchdown pass to Devaughn Vele, but were shut out in the second half. Shough passed for 278 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and New Orleans rushed for just 18 yards, 130 fewer than Pittsburgh. The Saints drove to the Steelers' 10 to open the second half, but Shough was intercepted by Payton Wilson. Daniel Carlson's 52-yard field goal attempt then sailed wide right, and Patrick Queen's late sack forced a Saints punt. Rodgers' 8-yard scramble on third-and-6 helped Pittsburgh run out the final minutes.

The Steelers improved to 5-2 with a third straight win, while the Saints dropped to 2-5.
