Take-Two reports Monday ahead of GTA VI launch

Take-Two Interactive reports its fiscal second-quarter results after the US market closes on Monday 9 November, ten days before the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, the most anticipated video game release in years. The earnings call is scheduled for 4:30pm Eastern Time.
Investors will be focused less on the quarter just ended and more on whether management reaffirms the 19 November launch date for GTA VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has already been delayed twice, having originally been set for May 2026, and any fresh slip would hit a share price already languishing near its 52-week low, closing at $192.10 at the start of the week of 2 November.
Analysts expect revenue to fall 9% year on year to $1.61 billion, with earnings per share of $0.97, according to consensus figures cited by OANDA. Options markets were pricing a move of about 10.2% in the shares around the results. The company guided to quarterly net bookings of $1.62 billion to $1.67 billion.
The bigger test is the full-year outlook. Take-Two has maintained fiscal 2027 net bookings guidance of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion, roughly 20% growth at the midpoint, a target built almost entirely around the second half of the year and the GTA VI launch. Wedbush projects about 31 million copies sold in the launch quarter.
Pre-orders for the game opened on 24 June 2026, giving investors an early gauge of demand. In its first-quarter results in August, Take-Two reported net bookings of $1.39 billion, down 3% on a year earlier, while reiterating the November launch date and the full-year bookings range.
