Devon NHS seeks six analysts for Epic patient record

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting six Application Analysts to support the Epic electronic patient record (EPR) system across Devon acute hospitals. Applications close on 6 November 2026, and the official vacancy page is the route to apply.
The roles sit within a joint programme run by Royal Devon, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Plymouth, collectively known as the Devon Acute Trusts. The trusts have linked to one electronic patient record.
What the role involves
Successful applicants will work in a designated application area, helping to configure the EPR system safely and effectively so it supports clinical, operational and administrative work. Duties include analysing workflows, supporting system configuration, testing and optimisation, troubleshooting issues, maintaining documentation and contributing to major upgrades.
The trust says it is seeking staff with varying backgrounds across its clinical and administrative applications. Applicants will work closely with clinical, operational and digital colleagues, and will help deliver improvements in patient care and staff experience.
Working pattern and how to apply
The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with travel to sites across Devon as required. There may also be occasional evening and weekend work for system upgrades. The postholder can be based at any of the four trust locations, and shortlisted candidates will be asked to sit a suitability test as part of shortlisting.
The trust offers 27 days of paid annual leave plus bank holidays for staff starting out in the NHS, rising to 33 days plus bank holidays. The vacancy page notes that the trust reserves the right to close the vacancy early once sufficient applications have been received.
