Shadab's unbeaten 113 seals Pakistan's one-wicket win over England

Shadab Khan scored an unbeaten 113 to rescue Pakistan from 154 for nine and seal a one-wicket win over England in the fourth match of the ODI tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Sunday. Pakistan chased down England's 241, reaching 243 for nine with 17 balls remaining.
England, put in to bat after Pakistan won the toss, were bowled out for 241 in 46.4 overs. Ben Duckett anchored the innings with 105 off 111 balls, and Sam Curran added 42 in a 93-run fifth-wicket partnership. Shaheen Afridi led Pakistan's bowling with four wickets for 46, striking early to remove Tom Banton and Joe Root and leaving England reeling at 11 for three after captain Harry Brook was run out for one.
The great escape
Pakistan's chase looked lost when the ninth wicket fell at 154. Shadab, batting with the tail, turned the match around in an 89-run last-wicket partnership with Haris Rauf, who made seven not out. Shadab finished on 113 off 96 balls, with 13 fours and five sixes, surviving a late review on 97 before launching the attack that took Pakistan home.
The result leaves England facing elimination from the tri-series after losing their earlier matches, while Pakistan's reputation for late recoveries grows another chapter. Duckett's century, which had looked like the match-winning innings for much of the day, ended up on the losing side as Shadab's hundred overshadowed it in the final overs.
